The theme you choose for your wedding event will determine how your planning goes. From the flowers to the reception music, you must be able to see a reflection of your wedding theme. Though there are many ways to theme your wedding, none is as important as the season. It’s necessary for you to plan and organise the event according to the time of the year.
There are many reasons to do so. By blending your décor with the season, you bring harmony to the event and make it look more pleasant. Winter weddings traditionally go with silver and white colours. Again, many people would like the dress to suit the seasons. They will, therefore, like to wear light clothing to such events and would like to see the couple similarly dressed. Some objects and accessories can only be available during the seasons. For example, if you want to have a beach wedding, you will need a sunny, fair day which is typical of summer.
Of all the wedding themes available, summer just seems to be the most common, this is because summer favours outdoor events. There is higher chance sun and less dull days. It is time you can suitably compose a garden or wide open wedding. Summer weddings may be exceptionally warm so you should consider places with cooling ventilation to ensure the comfort of your guests.
Aside from summer, winter becomes the next most popular wedding theme. Though winter appears to be quite restrictive, it is also the season of Christmas when people are already celebrating. Winter venues are cheaper to book, but you may need to find places that are comfortable regarding heating.
The wedding theme you chose will depend on the season. This way you can leverage on the times and get complementary products. It also helps you to blend your decoration with the surroundings so it does not look out of place.

After you have selected your wedding date, one of the first things that you must decide on is your wedding cake.
You must decide on a style, filling choice, layers and how you want your cake displayed. If you do not already know then the best way to start is to look through magazines and cut out pictures to start to piece together the cake that appeals to your eye. It is fine if you find yourself liking several different cakes, this is where your baker will step in to help design you your perfect cake.
Cake decorators and bakeries book up quickly and reserving your date with them as soon as possible to make sure you get the baker of your choice. Contact several bakeries and first check availability for your wedding date. If a baker is available, ask to set up a time to go to meet with them. Most bakeries will give you samples to taste of cake and different fillings and frosting so be sure to grab a free consultations and tasting experience.
Take pictures that you have compiled with you to the baker so they can get an idea of your style and help with the decision. During your consultation, do not be afraid to ask questions. Your cake is a very important aspect of the wedding so do put a lot of time and thought into this decision.

Traditionally for weddings there is usually a groom’s side and a bride’s side for guests but this doesn’t always have to be. How you choose to do your wedding seating can make a real difference in if your guests have a good time or if they are counting the minutes to when they can make a getaway.
Use round tables for guests- Traditionally the wedding party will be on a long table in front of the room while the guests will be on round tables. If you guests are on a round table, it allows them to interact with everyone on the table without yelling from one end to the other.
Put together a list of everyone that is attending and their relationship to you. Once you have your list you can start putting together friends and family in groups that will play nicely together and have a good time. There is always someone that can help everyone loosen up. So make sure you put the person with those that are not as outgoing. Take the time to think through who will get along with who and who can liven up a party if a table needs a little help.
Name cards are a great idea so your guests don’t have any hesitation where they should be sitting. This will ensure guests picking their own seats do not ruin your carefully laid plans. Usually you can have your same printing company that printed your wedding invitations print your name cards.
So if you have finished creating your wedding invitations the next thing you should do with your invite list is start on your seating chart. It may seem like a lot of work now but at the wedding it will help make your big day less stressful. It will also make sure that yours guests have a good time and that is most important.

Wedding photography is seasonal because weddings are seasonal, but in terms of bookings being made and wedding photographers being contacted, we’re entering the hot season now. Most photographers get booked for a wedding 6-8 months in advance. So this means people who are booking their photographers for summer are doing it right now. This means some of the best photographers in the UK may already be edging towards 2018 dates. Some would say this is crazy but most people do tend to have weddings in June, July, August and September and there are only so many weekends booked for weddings. If you are planning a big wedding for later this year and have not booked your photographer get looking now because most of the best will be taken! It does depends on how much you prioritise a professional photographer, but for many this is an important piece of the wedding day puzzle.

The wedding car plays in important role throughout the course of day, but it’s probably not the most essential item on your wedding agenda. Here’s why:
It doesn’t define your day
The car choose on your wedding day doesn’t define how your day goes. It’s one aspect of your wedding theme and that’s all it is. The car drops you off at the venue, take you away for photos and wherever else you need to go but while it tells one part of the story, it’s not going to be the main thing yours guests remember, so don’t put too much pressure on this.
It’s easy to book
There are so many places in which your can hire cars for wedding days and you can actually do so at short notice. What’s more, you can usually find a friend with a nice looking car who’s willing to be your driver for a small fee.

A number of people choose to get married abroad, but it can seem quite strange on the face of it, especially if you have no family or friends residing in or near that location. Getting married on a beach in Florida for example, may look amazing but you’re asking an awful lot of your family and friends to make the trip with you and it may mean some of your beloved guests may not be able to make it.
That said, some will argue that if family members or friends aren’t willing to pay to travel to your wedding they don’t deserve to be there at all. That may be a valid point and at the end of the day the choice is completely up to the couple. In fact, they may choose to get married without any guests in attendance, it’s their decision, so hats off to those who get married abroad. It’s a bold move and one more couples are making.

You may have seen it in the news recently but if you didn’t we’re here to fill you in. Recently a couple had a Harry Potter themed wedding and it was analysed in great detail by many national newspapers in the UK. Leah Rice spent £10,000 on her Harry Potter wedding which included an owl, bridesmaids on broomsticks, a sorting hat and a large figure that looked a lot like Gandalf. Whilst she was happy with her decision, her husband did not look overly enthused in the wedding photos and perhaps this is exactly why the newspapers saw the funny side of this story. That said, it got us thinking, would you ever opt for a movie themed wedding? If you both loved a certain film then surely there’s no reason why it wouldn’t be a good idea, as long as your guests are familiar with it it shouldn’t be a problem.

There’s an enormous amount of pressure on the best man when the evening rolls on and the speeches are underway. It’s important that the best man speaks last and leaves everyone with tears of laughter. That’s the ultimate goal anyway. Not every best man speech goes to plan but the majority of those that have been practiced and perfected will go down very well indeed. It’s important to make sure that you, the best man, do you homework and think back to the memories you and the groom have shared down the years. Don’t just think about the stories that made you both laugh, think about stories that can make people in the bigger picture laugh. The guests need to get the jokes to enjoy the speech and laugh along, so make sure you practice, practice and practice before the big day.

There are lots of things to consider when you’re setting the tables at your wedding venue. You not only need to think about the colours and whether they need to match the bridesmaids’ dresses or the groom’s tie, you also need to think about each of the individual elements.
The centerpiece
Every table should have a centerpiece, this could be a fish bowl, a tree, an old fashioned book, a photo of you, or pretty much anything you can imagine.
Names
The table will have a name, and then there will also be place names for guests. Getting these chosen early makes your life a lot easier.
Glasses and Cutlery
Always important, but not many people put much thought into the cutlery. Is it of good quality? Does it blend in with your style?
Candles
Creating a warm ambience is easy with candles, and there are so many different types to choose tween. Make sure you consider candles as a an option for your wedding tables.

Many photographers offer a ‘trash the dress’ photoshoot after the wedding, and whilst it doesn’t sound like good option if you’ve spent thousands of pounds on your wedding dress, you will have a stunning set of photos once the shoot is compete.
With a trash the dress photoshoot, the couple wakes up the morning after their wedding and set off with the photographer to a beautiful location. A beach is a good place to start. They don’t have to wear the same clothes, you can buy a cheap dress and tux for the shoot, and you basically just have fun. You splash around in the water, play in the sand or mud and have the photographer capture some truly beautiful moments. It’s fun and worth doing if you want some photos to compliment the more ‘normal’ and ‘formal’ ones.
