A lot of couples can have a fair amount of difficulty deciding upon what to include for their wedding. The key in ensuring that the run up to your big occasion goes smoothly is organisation. If everything is planned out and you stick to these plans, then the likelihood of an unexpected glitch is slim.

Set clear goals for what you need done for when. Stick to dates otherwise a one day delay can also potentially derail your plans for the days after. We recommend buying an actual organiser compared to jotting everything on your phone. If anything, use both. An organiser is great, as you know the purpose of it is to keep you organised, so you’ll always check it. Whilst the phone can be used to remind you.

We also recommend sharing duties with your future other-half. Make lists and split the duties in half. This way work gets done efficiently and he won’t feel like it’s only your big day!

When getting married abroad, there are several documents you need to take with you;

• Birth certificates
• Valid 10-year passports
• Affidavit/statutory declarations
• Confirming single status
• Decree Absolute (if you are divorced)
• Previous spouse’s death certificate (if you are widowed)
